The Smulhoeve ponies
On this page you will find the pony passports of all the ponies living at The Smulhoeve, the main employees of our farm.
Rocky
Candy
Rocky stands the longest of all the shets at The Smulhoeve and is Suus' first pony. Rocky is the best learning pony of the shets and has taught many children to ride.
Tommy
Food
Tommy came to live with us on the farm just after Rocky arrived. Tommy is very curious, nice and stubborn, a super sweet teddy bear and king children's parties!
Knotty
Grass
Knofje is a very handsome shetlander who also wants to be left alone now and then and that shows on her face. When Knofje is grazing on the grass you have to watch out that she doesn't escape!
Smoky
Food
Rokkie is nice and slow when riding, but as soon as he sees grass he is off. This teddy bear has a huge forest of hair and tail, so good for hours of brushing fun.
Joe
Play
Joe is a super funny but stubborn shet who loves to play outside all day with the other shets, under saddle he is very sweet but you have to ride him!
Udo
Hug
Udo is a super sweet quiet teddy bear suitable for the little ones among us, who can have a great time grooming, walking and riding with him. Udo is nice and slow and when riding you have to be a little strict, otherwise he just stands still.

Sleep
Stippel is a handsome slightly insecure shet, Stippel is best suited for the small quiet rider where mom or dad accompanies her. Stippel is quick to ride and loves to sleep in the sun.
Baron
Hug
Baron is a sweet shetlander who is super sweet to the kids, when riding he is a bit lazy, but doesn't take a step wrong, also he really likes to cuddle and brush.
Elvis

Elvis is the youngest of the shets and still has a lot to learn, but with his stubborn sweet face he steals the show with many kids!
Sjonnie
Polishing
Sjonnie is a super sweet, a little insecure shet, suitable for the very youngest riders. Sjonnie loves it when the kids are tinkering with him!
Sammie
Hiking
Sammie is the smallest of the shets, but you wouldn't tell because he stands his ground. Sammie loves to be brushed and then go for a nice walk on the farm.
Owner

Owner is a super sweet cuddler that you can't ride but is suitable for hours of cuddling, he also has super nice white long mane and tail.
Devin
Cuddling
Devin is a super sweet shet that unfortunately you can't ride because he has back problems. Devin loves to be brushed super long and to walk with you to the camping field.
Pete
Attention
Pete is a stubborn, handsome shet who is very curious and super fond of attention. He always likes to be taken out to pasture. Pete also loves tearing around in the arena and in the woods.
Tommie
Mares
Tommie is the smallest of the ponies but you wouldn't say so from this stubborn doer, because Tommie himself thinks he is the biggest of the bunch. Tommie is super sweet to the kids and a nice but very fast riding pony!
Polly
Hug
Polly is a super sweet handsome dartmoor pony who loves the females in the pasture and especially Rubia. Polly is very sweet, but very strong, doesn't take a step wrong, but you have to be able to ride.
Dex
Grass
Dex is a stubborn Haflinger who has not been at De Smulhoeve for very long, so he still has to get used to it. Dex is not suitable for small children and prefers to go on the adult trail ride.
Diego
Food
Diego is a super sweet stubborn pony. Diego loves to brush and can be either very slow or very fast when riding, so his owner must be able to ride!
Lightning
Candy
Lightning is a super handsome and sweet pony who loves to eat grass with his friends in the pasture, With riding he is also very well behaved, although he does not always feel like running laps in the arena, jumping is more his thing.
Urban
Dressage
Urban is a super sweet E-pony who has run Z dressage in his past, he loves dressage riding in the arena and is a little skittish and unsure at times but doesn't take a step wrong while riding.
Frenna
Play
Frenna is our stallbred Icelandic horse, she is very sweet, curious and always comes to you in the pasture. Frenna is strong when riding and really has a mind of her own, but is sweet.
Kaat
Jump
Kaat is a cross between a Tinker and a Welsh. Kaat is well behaved but a little fast with riding and fond of jumping. When you go to get her in the pasture, it's best to bring a treat!
Palonia
Crossen
Palonia is one of our favorites among the younger kids. Palonia is very sweet but a tad stubborn when riding, she can also gallop very hard through the outdoor arena.
Chanel
Polishing
Chanel is our oldest lady in the barn and loves to be taken out to pasture and brushed. She also always gets extra spoiled with treats and can just run loose on the property.
Rubia

Rubia is a super sweet fjord who loves to be ridden, the walk in the woods in the Loonse and Drunense Dunes is Rubia's favorite, her buddy is Maija and she is very loved by the gentlemen of the stable.
Maija
Food
Maija is a super sweet fjord who loves to be cuddled and brushed. Maija is after Chanel the oldest pony of The Smulhoeve and loves to ride around in the arena or woods.
Ylke
Food
Ylke is our big black pearl and has been at De Smulhoeve for a long time. Ylke is very quiet when you ride her and actually a bit slow, if you take her out to pasture you have to be careful because she can sometimes be a bit grumpy when she is eating grass.
Lex
Dunes
Lex is Karin's horse and belongs to the household of De Smulhoeve and has been stabled here for over 20 years. Lex loves jumping and going for lovely rides in the woods in De Loonse and Drunense Duinen.
