PONY FUN
- Minimum age 3 years old
- Driving experience not required
- Adult accompanies pony and child
- Cap and closed shoes mandatory for rider
- Closed shoes required for attendant
- Maximum body weight rider: 40 pounds for a shetlander
- Driving is at your own risk
- Duration: 1 hour (30 minutes of brushing and saddling and 30 minutes of riding)
- Price: € 40 per time (can be booked separately per time)
FOREST WALK
- Minimum age 3 years old
- Driving experience not required
- Adult accompanies pony and child
- Cap and closed shoes mandatory for rider
- Closed shoes required for attendant
- Maximum body weight rider: 40 pounds for a shetlander and 65 pounds for a pony
- Only a leashed step ride
- Driving is at your own risk
- Walking with a group including guidance from The Smulhoeve
- Forest walk through the Loonse and Drunense Dunes
- Duration: 1.5 hours
- Price: € 60 per pony (maximum 2 children per pony)
HIKING PONY LOONSE AND DRUNENSE DUNES
- Minimum age 3 years old
- Independent walking with a shetlander through The Loonse and Drunense Dunes
- Includes route mapped out by us
- Driving experience not required
- Adult accompanies pony and child
- Cap and closed shoes mandatory for rider
- Closed shoes required for attendant
- Maximum body weight rider: 40 pounds
- Only walking with the shetlander and leashed at all times
- Pony is saddled, you get him right away
- Driving is at your own risk
- Duration: 1.5 hours
- Price: € 60 per shetlander (maximum 2 children per shetlander)
WANDELPONY
- Minimum age 3 years old
- Driving experience not required
- Adult accompanies pony and child
- Walking route on the path of The Smulhoeve (2 rounds of about 15 minutes each)
- Cap and closed shoes mandatory for rider
- Closed shoes required for attendant
- Maximum body weight rider: 40 pounds for a shetlander
- Just a step ride
- Driving is at your own risk
- Duration: 1 hour (half hour of brushing and saddling, half hour of riding)
- Price: € 40 per pony (maximum 2 children per pony)
FREE DRIVING
- Minimum age 8 years old
- For children with riding experience: free riding
For children without experience: adult accompanies pony and child - Cap and closed shoes mandatory for rider
- Closed shoes required for attendant
- Maximum body weight rider: 40 kilos for a shetlander
and 65 kilos for a pony - Driving is at your own risk
- Duration: half hour of brushing and saddling, 45 minutes of riding
- Price: € 40 per pony (maximum 2 children per pony)
CARE WORKSHOP
- Learn all about caring for a pony: from how to safely get it out of the stall, the order of grooming, how to saddle up to how to put on the bridle
- For both the novice and more experienced rider
- Together with 1 parent or caregiver
- Upon completion you will receive the De Smulhoeve care diploma
- Duration: 1 hour
- Price: €20.00 (for 1 child with 1 adult)
LEASEPONY
- Driving experience not required
- If not experienced, bring a companion with you
- Experienced riders ride independently in the outdoor arena
- Cap, proper riding clothes, closed shoes or boots with heel required
- Maximum body weight rider: 65 pounds for a pony and 90 pounds for a horse
- Care of shetlander, pony or horse
- A maximum of 1 hour per day in the outdoor arena
- Driving is at your own risk
- Children up to 12 years of age required to be accompanied by an adult
- Duration: from 2 days per week
